Our design thinking bootcamp is our most comprehensive, high-energy, and intensive offering for grantees. In this four part, concentrated design thinking series, we set up pop-up innovation labs for grantees to solve a design challenge of their choice. This focused and collaborative series will help teams empathize with people, define needs, generate creative ideas, rapidly prototype, and iterate for success.

• Organizations that have been rewarded grants from foundations with a focus on sustainability and energy

• Philanthropies can apply alongside their organizations to be part of the workshops

• Partners, Managing Directors, and team members that could benefit from design thinking and leadership capacity building

• The maximum capacity for these workshops are 60 participants

In this two day innovation lab, we provide the skills needed for organizations to rapidly innovate and meet their sustainability targets. This workshop focuses on brainstorming and prototyping exercises— ultimately building participants’ creative confidence. The lab will review brainstorming rules and exercises such as mashup, 6 thinking hats, and analogous fields. It will also review general prototyping techniques.

In a three hour investment, we will focus on the basic principles of storytelling, demonstrate ways to approach creative communication, and use rapid prototyping to craft and practice compelling messaging. This high energy, interactive, collaborative, and feedback-based training will help teams better connect with community members, creatively communicate sustainability initiatives, and build strong leadership skills.
